An incomplete Post Medieval copper alloy crotal bell, dating to c. AD 1500-1700. Part of the top of the suspension loop is missing due to an old break, with only the two lugs and part of the crossbar remaining. The upper and lower hemisphere of the bell is divided by a prominent rib. At either side of the suspension loop (about half way down the side of the upper hemisphere) is a sound hole which is 5mm in diameter, although one is smaller due to corrosion products obscuring the aperture. A small bodysherd of a Medieval vessel dating to c. AD 1100-1500.  The fabric is a hard fired, rough and sandy with abundant translucent grey/white sandy quartz inclusions.  The outer surface is a buff colour and smooth with a row of vertical rouletted lines (and possibly a second row just visible).  The inner surface is a darker buff colour with some patches of darker grey and is rough and gritty.  The core is a darker unoxidised grey. A post medieval copper alloy trade token farthing issued by William Miinck at Blandford in Dorset, Williamson Dorset 18, dating to AD 1654. Ref.: Williamson (1967, 172). This is the original variety of token for William Minck, the subsequent issue reading WILLIAM MINCK IN around W.M. on the obverse and IN BLANDFORD around W.M. 1657. William Minck was Bailiff of the Borough of Blandford in 1657. There is also a record of him marrying Elizabeth Bull of Bridport on 20th July 1654. A complete copper alloy annular ring, possibly a harness ring, of unknown date but most likely Medieval to Post Medieval in date, c AD 1100 - 1800. It is a rough oval in section, and there are mould marks opposite each other on the outer edge. It has a mottled green patina. Dimensions: 29.5mm in diameter;  4.4mm in width;  2.4mm thick;  4.76g in weight. These are common detector finds, but their function and dating are not well understood (Geake, Finds Recording Guide, page 54)

A complete probably Roman copper alloy stud dating to cAD 43 - 410. It appears to be the letter S, but with pointed ends so it may simply be a sinuous shape. It is D shaped in section, hollow backed, with a rectangular lug in centre back, probably shorter than originally. Dimensions: 21.5mm in length;  13.1mm in width;  3.8mm thick;  2.12g in weight Read (2021: 33 and 35) no 198 is very similar. He suggests his example, from South Wiltshire, dates to the Roman period.

An incomplete Medieval lead alloy flask shaped ampulla, dating to c AD1350 - 1530. There is an early break in the lead by the neck, leaving a crack and small hole, and the two suspension handles are largely missing. An incomplete Roman copper alloy Colchester derivative brooch, only missing its hinged pin, dating to cAD50 - 150. It has long, elaborately decorated wings, their span almost matching the length of the whole brooch.
