A group of 22 lead shot dating to the period c. AD 1700-1800.  The weights range from 27.32g - 30.95g per shot, and accounting for a small amount of weight loss during firing or from aggressive soil conditions, most then fall into the calibre for 18th century muskets (c. 14 1/2 bore). All are round ball type shot, and all show some evidence of firing (varying banding, gouging, powder pitting and some examples of impact deformation). Diameters range between 17.03mm - 19.84mm, with most falling in the 17mm - 18mm group.

An incomplete lead post-medieval powder measure cap, c. 17th century AD.  The open end of the measure has been squashed inwards so that only the base retains its original sub-circular shape in plan. There are two vertical lines cast into the measure, running from the open end to the base on opposite sides (and in between the loops).  Height: 14.98mm, diameter at base: 18.26mm, weight: 16.24g. Cf. Courtney, 1988: 2, fig. 3.

The double oval looped frame has a moulded shell like knop in the centre of each loop and a small knop at each end of the narrowed strap bar.
