An incomplete Iron Age La Tène III type/ Nauheim derivative brooch dating to the period c. AD 10-100 (Plouviez period E). While much of the brooch survives, the integral pin is missing, as is the catch-plate. At the top of the bow is the head of the brooch. The head was probably made of four coils of circular cross-section, two either side of the bow, but the internal coil that would have developed into the bow has been lost to an old break. An incomplete cast copper-alloy Roman umbonate disc brooch (AD 100-250), of Mackreth (2011, 165) Type 6.f. The brooch is circular with a circular recess/pit at the centre. The low central boss around this is intact as is the plate, but the pin and any peripheral lugs are missing due to old breaks. A fragment of a post-medieval silver brooch, comprising the upper part of the frame in the shape of a crowned heart (c. 1600-1750). The upper part of the heart survives along with the crown, which is single domed with a central jewel. There are two apertures above the band of the crown which is decorated with two subtle ornaments.  No maker’s mark survives. A complete medieval silver gilt annular brooch with floral decoration. The brooch is annular in shape, with a flattened profile along both vertical sides, where the pin and pin rest are placed.  Along the horizontal sides, the frame of the brooch is twisted, in a simple twist which creates a spiral appearance. An incomplete miniature developed T-shaped brooch dating to the Roman period, c. AD 100-150. The wings and upper bow survive. The wings are truncated, cylindrical in shape, and with a markedly thick, almost bulging appearance. A Medieval copper alloy brooch. Notes: A copper alloy annular brooch possibly dating from the Medieval period, probably 1200 - 1400 AD. It is ovoid in shape with six raised circular settings on the front that would have at one point held decorative stones. Two still contain white paste. There is a hole in the frame for the pin, but it is now missing. It has a length of 25.03mm, width 20.93mm, thickness 2.42mm, weight 3.03g. A broadly similar example can be seen on the Portable Antiquities Scheme database: SWYOR-E5DA21.

A copper alloy fragment, possibly from the bow, foot and catchplate of a Roman brooch. The bow is broadly D-shaped in section and there are traces of decoration visible on the front in the form of small pellets running vertically in a row within two linear grooves. On the reverse, towards the end of the bow, the catchplate fans out and recurves slightly at the edge. The fragment is abraided and worn smooth.
