Roman copper alloy Hod Hill brooch probably of Hull type 62 or possibly 70C. It is in poor condition, with the hinged pin missing, broken head and damaged bow and catch-plate. There is a tiny patch of white metal coating remaining. The head is broken to one side of the slot for the hinge and the folded over section to hold the hinge is missing. The upper bow has two transverse ridges extending out wider than the rest of the bow, the lower one may extend into side knops but this is unclear due to wear. An incomplete Early Bronze Age copper alloy cast flat axehead, dating from c.2150 to 1500 BC. The blade is curved and it has a very uneven edge, probably due to surface wear and corrosion. The axehead tapers to a break before the butt. There are some traces of Bronze disease on the surface of the item.
