A worn and encrusted copper-alloy Roman coin of uncertain date and ruler, but possibly an empress. It Measures 17.26 mm in diameter, 1.92 mm in thickness and weighs 1.857 grams. This may be a 4th century nummus, or else the core of a plated forgery denarius.

Post Medieval lead token or possibly seal fragment. Lead alloy disk with a raised, cast or stamped, design of the initials IR or HR (ligated) within a line circle on one side. It is 14.9mm in diameter, 1.3mm thick and 1.70 grams in weight. The object is unusually small for a lead token and may be a broken part of a seal. The use of initials would suggest a Post Medieval date (1500-1850 AD) for either.

A fragment of a Medieval mount, probably intended as a box- mount. It is made from a thin sheet of metal and has a cut-out design. Along one edge are two small apertures against a cross-hatched background. These were probably used to attach the mount to the object which it decorated. The register below this consists of three cut-out rectangles, each surmounted by a small hole. Beneath the rectangles is another area of cross-hatched ornament, and the remains of a trefoil cut-out. CORONER'S REPORT One of three silver sceatta, protentially from the 8th Century. Found in association with DOR-B8A4A2 (Coin 1) & DOR-B8C682 (Coin 3). A coin of Louis XIV of France. Edward Besly of the National Museum and Gallery of Wales has identified this coin as follows. Louis XIV's coinage suffered a succession of remintings in this period, known as 'réformations' and most of the time, ratther than melting down the coins, they struck the new ones directly on the old. This is therefore a réformation: A 1691 'Quadruple sol aux deux Ls', which has been overstruck c.1702-4 to become a a 'cinq sols aux insignes'.
