Counterfeit copper alloy cored silver plated coin, probably copying a Roman denarius of unclear emperor dating to AD 1 to 260. Unclear reverse type. Unclear mint. Only small amounts of the silver sheet outer coating remain but the size, thickness and the small amount of the design suggest it might be a denarius rather than a later, Post Medieval, silver coin that was copied.

DIVVS IVLIVS reverse type depicting the legend to left and right of an eight-rayed comet, tail downwards. Probably Spanish mint I (Colonia Caesaraugusta?). Cf. RIC I (2nd ed.), p. 44, no. 37a.
