A copper-alloy mount in the form of a lion couchant modelled in relief on the front face but flat on the rear face. The front face has a slightly melted appearance as though a blob of metal has been dropped on it, with consquent loss of some decorative detail. The front paws are placed together beneath the mouth and there is no other creature pinned down beneath them, as is normal in leonine knife handles and figurines (e.g. BH-2159D4 and SWYOR-F1D5D6). To what other object this piece was fixed is unknown. Dimensions: Length 35 mm, Height 18 mm, …

A possibly incomplete sub circular copper alloy flat item, of unknown date. The find has an incised pattern, on both sides, of four stylised unlinked drop shapes, two straight lines of different lengths, extending across the diameter, and two small double annulets. The drop shapes face outwards in a slightly haphazard manner, the points close to the edge. A small section of the circumference may be missing to an old break. It has a dark green, slightly crusty surface, Dimensions:   20.7mm in diameter; 1.7mm thick; 2.69g in weight

The head is convex, possibly faceted and with a small piece of excess metal at the apex. It is uncertain how much of the detail of the head is affected by corrosion and being deformed while lost. The shaft is blunt but it is uncertain if any of the outer end is missing. 65.8mm in length; 6.5mm in width below the head; head 9.2mm x 7.3mm; 6.5g in weight. A possibly incomplete roof tile of indeterminate date. It is of limestone, probably from Purbeck. These limestones are fossiliferous and part-crystalline, harder than purely oolitic limestones and extremely durable. It is sub-rectangular in shape, but may originally have been a narrow hexagon. It is oval in cross-section (the two surfaces being slightly convex but tapering towards each edge) and has a single approximately central circular hole neatly drilled at a slightly downward angle, close to what is presumably the upper end. A conical lead weight. At the apex is an integrally cast large suspension lug with a small sub-circular pierced hole. The lug is flattened and narrowed from the apex and is rounded on the upper edge. It has been bent over and distorted. Set opposite each other about halfway down the conical body of the weight are two projections which appear to be the ends of a circular cross sectioned wire cast into the weight (either the ends of one object or two separate pieces). A complete copper alloy bead of uncertain date, probably Bronze Age to Roman c.AD 43 - 410. The bead is sub-biconical with a central perforation through the centre. A series of striations are present around the perimeter, close to the apex. Similar beads on the database include ESS-975247, SUR-131CBB, ASHM-377F8C, LEIC-3641F5, SOM-DA2D9C although these have a slightly more pronounced conical shape than this example. These examples range in date from Bronze Age to Roman, and therefore a wide date range is suggested for this example. The bead measures 9.6mm in diameter, 4.7mm …

Diameter: 22.3mm; Thickness: 4.3mm; Weight: 5.90g It is difficult to parallel such an undiagnostic find, it was possibly part of a horse harness.
