A fragment of clear, uncoloured glass dating from either the Roman period or Post-medieval. The fragment is very roughly triangular in shape measuring 41.5mm by 39.4mm by 29.7mm. It is of uneven thickness to a maximum of 2.3mm. The piece is curved, the degree of curvature (i.e. distance from the central part of the convex area to a line joining the furthest extremities) being c7mm. Very small air bubbles can be seen within the glass as well as specks of other material that are mostly very small though one irregular piece measures c6 x 3mm. An irregular cast lead die of uncertain, Roman to Post Medieval, date. The die is roughly a cube with incuse dots indicating the values of each side. The die is It is 13.2mm by 13mm by 11.7mm and weighs 18.02. The sides are arranged 1 5-6-4 2 3 This means the opposing side do not add up to 7 (ie 1 is opposite 2, 5 and 4 and 6 and 3) so it does not conform to a 'regular' known pattern. A copper alloy die of probable Roman to medieval date (c. AD 43 - 1500). The die is cuboid in shape with the pips drilled in negative relief. The die is not "regular" meaning that the opposite faces do not add up the seven. The die appears to have a six ,five, four, three, two, and a one, however with the six opposite the five, the four opposite the two and the one opposite the three. A lead weight (probably). A rectangular bar of lead, which may have been used as a weight. The sides taper in a little from the base to the top. There are numerious scratches and dents but no sign of a purposeful marking. Date unknown.
