An incomplete cast lead alloy weight dating to the modern period, c. AD 1800-1900. The fish's fins do appear to have been attached or at least hinted at, but are now missing. It is D-shaped in cross section, with a flat and undecorated lower surface. On the lower surface are two possible attachment points, which could indicate that the object was attached to an additional weight which itself was connected to the fishing line. A fragment of ceramic building material, probably a roof tile, probably of Modern date, although the amount of Roman material in the area suggests an unusual Roman form cannot be ruled out. The fragment is irregular in plan and rectangular in section, broken and abraded on three sides with one complete, angled edge. It has a fine hard fired completely oxidised fabric. Fine linear striations on the surface may suggest a modern technique. Traces of white mortar are on either face of fragment. On one side remain traces of a rounded flange. The fragment measures 96.1 mm in length, 54.2…

Two wide, rectangular-sectioned ovoid loops, interlinked and affixed at one end by a truncated bar. Each loop is decorated with applied twisted gold wires forming a running lozenge pattern with loops at the borders, interspersed with tiny globular gold beads. Of unknown function - perhaps part of an earring or decoration for a hair pin. Stylistically, however, it is consistent with late 19th century jewellery of archaising design.
