A copper alloy French jetton of Tournai, dating from the Medieval period, AD1415 - 1500. The obverse carries a crown within a wire line circle, surrounded by the legend AV[E MA]RIA GRA[CIA L]. On the reverse is a double-voided cross fleuretty within a double tressure of four arches. In the centre of the cross is a voided quatrefoil and there is a flower of three petals in each of the angles. There is no reverse legend. The jetton is  22.42mm in diameter and 1.2mm thick. The fragment consists of a shallow arched bow, which then flattens and widens to a lower area of the bow, or possibly if turned the other way up could be the head of the brooch. An incomplete copper alloy post-medieval dress fastener, c. 16th century AD (1500 - 1650 AD) . The fastener is the 'female' tag from pair of hooked tags; it has a sub-oval plate and would have had a large rectangular loop at one end, this has broken away.
