An incomplete copper alloy purse bar dating to the post medieval period (c.AD 1500-1550). The object consists of the the bar which presents short, cylindrical arms with a narrowed constriction towards the end for the attachment of the frame. Both arms terminate in a rounded knop. In the centre of the arms is a sub-rectangular block that perforated through the centre to allow of the now missing loop. Attached to both ends of the arms is a fragment of the frame. A complete cast copper alloy finger ring of probable Roman to early medieval date (c. AD 100 - 900). The hoop is broad and thick and flares to form a wide bezel which is decorated with numerous punched depressions. The overall effect is similar to that of early medieval finger rings such as that recorded as NMS-4F872C; however, on closer examination the decoration is not ring-and-dots, but simple hammered dots of varying size. An incomplete cast copper alloy mount with enamel, of medieval date (c. AD 1200 - 1500). The mount is in the form of a heater shield shaped plaque with an heraldic blazon of chequers, five squares across and six deep. Traces of red enamel remain on alternate squares, the others may have been blue or possibly gilded. An incomplete copper-alloy buckle of Post-Medieval date, c.AD 1660 - 1720. The object is a sub-ovate shoe or knee buckle with a drilled frame for a separate spindle. The frame comprises an ovate ring from which openwork foliate motifs extend to either end. A spindle is retained through rivet holes to either side of the frame. An incomplete chape remains around fitted the spindle with a split loop. A triangular pin also remains fitted around the spindle with a closed loop. A complete hollow gold bead of uncertain dating, probably Post Medieval to Modern (AD 1800 to AD 1900). The bead is spherical. Several small sub triangular depressions are present around the mid point, possibly teeth marks. A circular perforation, with an internal diameter of 1.3 mm is present top and bottom.  It has a diameter of 7.1 mm and is 7.0 mm long. It weighs 0.6 g. A complete lead alloy rotary key of probable post medieval date (c. AD 1500 - 1700). The key has a circular, D-sectioned openwork bow, 12 mm diameter, sub-rectangular shank, hollow at the end, and a T-shaped bit. There is an incised groove on the shank creating a collar below the bow. The size suggests this was a for a casket or similar locking container. A copper alloy fragment of an everted rim of post medieval date (c. AD 1600 - 1800), possibly from a vessel but probably from a bell. The exterior is decorated with incised circumferential lines, one 5 mm up from the rim, and a pair 6 mm above that. The curvature of the fragment suggests a diameter of the mouth of the bell/vessel of approximately 80 mm.   Length 88 mm, thickness 4 mm and weight 22.9 g.

A fragment of a cast copper alloy Roman brooch, Colchester derivative (c. AD 45 - 100). The cylindrical wings enclose the spring mechanism, one wing is damaged exposing the corroded mechanism, the pin is missing, The head is bulbous and appears undecorated, although it is much abraded and has a thick, dusty brown patina. Only the upper part of the bow remains; D-sectioned and tapering, it terminates in an old break. Width 34 mm, length 22 mm, thickness 6 mm and weight 11.4 g.
