A very worn silver coin dating of an uncertain ruler, dating to the post medieval period (1670-1900). The coin is roughly worn with a no die details and a pitted surface; the edge is also rough an irregular. One face presents a stamped W and stamped O or annulet. It roughly the size of a milled shilling and may have been repurposed as a token. Other examples of coin deliberately worn into tokens include: WMID-B2601A; SF-787272 and WMID-06A896

Silver shilling of Elizabeth I of the second issue dating to 1560-1; initial mark is a cross crosslet, which indicates it was produced under Thomas Stanley in the main Tower mint during the recoinage of 1560-1 when the tower had two separate mints. Obverse has crowned bust facing left and the legend ELIZABETH [D G] ANG [FR] ET HIB REGINA. The reverse has a squared shield on long cross fourchée dividing the legend POSVI/DEV AD/IVTORE/M MEV . Diameter: 32.27mm; weight: 5.2g

Silver shilling of Elizabeth I, first issue. Obverse has bust of the queen facing left with the legend ELIZABETH DG' AN' FR ET HIB REGINA, which appears to have been double struck. It has a cross crosslet initial mark for (1560-1561). The reverse has a quartered shield with large cross fourchee dividing the legend which reads POSVI DEV ADITOREM MEV, with a cross crosslet initial mark. As per North (1991, 133 No. 1985).
