A sub rectangular, sandstone rock with ogham script inscribed down three of the four sides. The front and back sides are smooth. The rock is a dark grey colour and likely to be a shist type rock (metamorphic mudstone/shale). The incisions appear to have been done in a single action, not repeated. It measures 110 mm in length, 38 mm wide and 19 mm thick. It weighs 139 g. Katherine Forsyth (University of Glasgow) has confirmed that the markings are those of an ogham inscription. A probable Post Medieval copper alloy mount or brooch, dating to circa AD 1500-1700. The object is oval in form and has a convex upper surface and flat reverse. The decoration and form of the object are of a snake eating its own tail. The decoration on the front face and main body of the object are a series of incised cross hatching marks. An incomplete zoomorphic knife handle, probably Medieval dating to the period c. AD 1400-1700. The knife handle has a square sectioned shaft which terminates in an old break where the now missing blade would have once extended. The shaft of the knife handle measures 27.5 mm in length. An incomplete Post Medieval silver trapezoidal shoe or knee buckle dating to circa AD 1660 - 1720. The spindle is present. The pin is broken near the spindle although the remains of the base of the pin are visible. The chape is also present, although it has been damaged and is now in two parts. Medieval gold pendant. A rectangular gold pendant with a suspension loop at the top and projecting pins at three of the corners. The fourth pin has been pushed inside the pendant. One side is crudely engraved with the head of Christ and the other with a half-length image of Christ as the Man of Sorrows. The pins are likely to have been designed to hold pearls, which have perished in the ground. Metal analysis conducted at the British Museum established the gold content to be 83% gold. An incomplete barbed and tanged flint arrowhead of Early Bronze Age dating (c. 2500 BC to c. 1500 BC). Approximately 95% of the arrowhead is present, with one barb being incomplete. The arrowhead has been knapped from a mottled mid grey coloured piece of flint. It is broadly sub-triangular in plan and lentoid in cross section. The tang is a sub square shape and the surviving barb is sub triangular in plan. The arrowhead has been knapped using both direct and indirect percussion techniques. Description: An incomplete circular gold setting, originally with a domed cloisonné garnet setting. The circular backplate is framed by a thin (0.4mm) outer and thicker (1.1mm) inner beaded wire. The thicker wire is carefully made with narrow even beads, but the thin wire has more oblique beads and many Aquätorschnitte, no doubt reflecting the difficulty of manufacturing such extremely fine beaded wire. The object has a backplate apparently made from a number of smaller pieces of gold, which is framed by a gold strip set on edge, 1.5mm wide, which runs around the edge to a butted join at the top. A cast copper-alloy early medieval stirrup strap mount of Williams Class A. The mount is in fairly poor condition and is very worn, with no decoration visible whatsoever. It is pentagonal in shape. It does not have an angled attachment flange, but instead has two circular rivet holes at the base. At the top, at the narrowest part of the mount, there is a further circular rivet hole. The mount has a reddy brown patina with many areas of green copper corrosion. It measures 46.19 mm long, 30.02 mm wide, 4.31 mm thick and weighs 14.8 grams. It is likely to date from the eleventh century AD.

A small worn copper-alloy token or coin that has traces of silvering remaining. The object is too far worn for certain identification, although it appears to bear a bust facing left on the obverse. Although worn, the style of the head appears post-medieval to modern. There are abstract linear markings on the reverse which are reminiscent of designs seen on early Anglo-Saxon sceattas. However, it is much more likely that this is a post-medieval token, particualry given the apparent bust on the obverse. Unfortunately, the wear on the object prevents closer identification.

Two fragments from post-medieval clay pipes. It is uncertain whether they are from the same pipe. One is a stem fragment, 11.8 mm in diameter with a bore hole of 1.6 mm. The second fragment includes the stem, which has a diameter of 12.2 mm and a bore hole of approximately 2 mm in diameter. This fragment has a small portion of the bowl remaining which rises abruptly from a long pointed spur which is slightly forward projecting. The presence of this spur and the relationship it has with the bowl suggests that the pipe is probably of mid-18th century in date.

A socketed iron hammer head, missing its handle. The hammer head is slightly bowed and is blunt at each end. There is a sub-rectangular socket in the centre for attachment of a handle. The socket measures 19.5 mm long and 7.8 mm wide and is orientated to with its longest side along the length of the hammer head.
