An incomplete lead alloy cloth seal dating from the early modern period, probably Queen Anne - George I's reigns, c. 1700-1727. The seal is incomplete and only one single face( of the four part seal) survives. The upper surface is impressed with a rampant Unicorn advancing left within a ring of pellets; at the foot of the unicorn is the number 3. The upper edge of the seal has been pierced by a single hole which has been drilled from both faces. The diameter of the hole is 1.7mm. A cast lead or lead alloy spindle whorl or weight of Roman to Post Medieval date (1 - 1650 AD), most probably Roman (AD50-350). The spindle whorl is broadly ovullar in plan and is D shaped in the cross section; it has been eroded in the soil. The central hole is a circular shape; it has an internal diameter of 5.95mm x 5.85mm. Both faces are plain and undecorated. The spindle whorl has a cream - white coloured surface patina. Due to the smallness of the sherd the diameter of the vessel cannot be estimated. Fabric type: 'Severn Valley Ware' Firing condition: oxidised exterior, unoxidised (grey) and oxidised (orange) core, oxidised (orange) interior Hardness: Hard Surface texture: Smooth Condition of sherd: abraded. The sherd measures: 4.49mm thick, 32.27mm in length, 17.96mm in width and weigh 3.6 grams.

An incomplete cast lead powder flask cap, used for measuring a charge of gunpowder; of probable seventeenth century date (AD 1600 -AD 1700). The cap is mostly complete, however the mouth of the cup is squashed / crumpled resulting in vertical splits. The cap, which has an indistinct rim, is broadly circular in plan and cylindrical in profile, however much has been distorted by movement in the ploughsoil.
