An incomplete, Post Medieval silver halfgroat of Charles I (AD 1625-1649) dating AD 1625-1649. Possibly Group C, third bust. Cf. North (1991) Vol.2 no.2252. Possibly double struck due to there being a lower I behind the head and II at around 2 o'clock in relation to the fainter I. Appears to have been clipped from around 1 o'clock to around 6 o'clock on the obverse. Diameter: 15.81mm. Thickness: 0.64mm. Weight: 0.87g. Die axis: 3.

An incomplete, worn, Post Medieval silver halfgroat of Charles I (AD 1625-1649) likely dating AD 1638-1642. Aberystwyth mint. Initial mark: book. Cf North (1991) Vol.2 pg.172 nos.2343-2344. No inner circles. There is an oblique c.4.20mm long tear in the coin around 12 o'clock on the obverse, and part of the coin is bent upward from around 7 o'clock to around 12 o'clock on the obverse. Diameter: 16.37mm. Thickness: 0.57mm. Weight: 0.95g. Die axis: 7.

Crowned bust left with two pellets behind.  Reverse: [CIVITAS LON]DON. Square shield on cross fourchee.Mintmark 2. The obverse is worn with pitting to surface on bust and area below the two pellets. Only one of the two pellets is clearly visible. The reverse is worn with only the DON inscription clearly legible.

A silver half groat of James I (1603-1625). The coin was struck as part of the Second Issue coinage and dating between 1604-1619. The coin is pierced from the reverse through to the obverseby a square shaped punch - the small amount of spall has not been trimmed - the hole is positioned at 3 o'clock and is placed neatly between the edge of the crowned thistle and teh inscription North: 2104-2105.

Heavily worn and eroded silver half groat of later Tudor date - the style of the shield and the cross fourchee both indicate a coin of Elizabeth I - although this cannot be confirmed due to wear on the obverse which has removed the whole surface.
