An incomplete, heavily abraded Roman brooch of Colchester derivative, Polden Hill type dating from AD 90-130. The brooch has been heavily abraded during its time in the soil. It is undecorated. The bow is hump-shaped, and less than half of it remains. The foot and catch plate have been lost. One of the two wings has been broken off, the other remains which is semi-cylindrical in shape. A near complete cast copper alloy Roman Trumpet brooch of Group A, dating from AD 75 - 150. The bow of the brooch has an angular profile and an angular D shaped cross section. The bow tapers from a flared head to a flared bulbous foot knop. The head of the brooch is nearly complete, it is oval in plan, and tapers into the bow. Copper alloy brooch of Colchester derivative, Polden Hill CD PH 3 type AD 75-200. This has rearward facing lugs on either end of the wings that are truncated but would have held the pin axis bar. At the rear of the head is a loop that would have held the external cord for the spring.  The front of the bow is decorated with three groves that run down its length. The lower half of the bow is truncated resulting in the loss of the catchplate.

An incomplete cast copper alloy and iron knife, the handle of which depicts an erotic scene, dating to the Roman period (c. AD43-410). The knife is missing all of the blade with the exception of the tang and the surviving handle has suffered significant corrosion and wear. The base of the handle is an irregular worn block 15.8mm wide and 4.7mm thick, with a slot containing the corroded remains of the blade. Well preserved copper alloy socketed side-looped spearhead dating from the early Middle Bronze Age, c. 1600-1400BC. The head of the spear is leaf-shaped with a pronounced midrib. A fragment of a copper alloy brooch of Colchester derivative, Polden Hill type cf. Mackreth 2011, CD PH, 4.c. 12041, Plate 47. The wings are truncated but would have had rearward facing lugs at either end that held the pin axis bar. A truncated projection at the top of the head would formed a rearwards facing hook. The bow which emanates from the front of the wings is also truncated at the top, but appears to have been undecorated.

A medieval silver annular brooch. The frame is formed from silver wire, half of which is round in section, while the other half has been formed into square wire, twisted to give the appearance of cabling, with punched decoration running along the twists. There is a constriction for the pin (now missing), at which point the brooch is broken, probably at the point of the original soldering. The brooch is otherwise in good condition.
