Perforated stone spindle whorl or net weight of unknown date – probably Mesolithic – Modern (6500 BC – 1800 AD). The stone used to make the artefact is a micaceous sandstone which is a mid brown grey colour. The weight is irregular being broadly sub-circular in plan and D shaped in cross section. The central hole is drilled from both ends, is broadly circular in shaped and waisted (egg-timer) in cross section. The maximum diameter of the hole measures 8.4mm. The tool is 18.6 mm from proximal to distal end and 22.5 mm wide from lateral edge to lateral edge. The striking platform is clearly visible at the butt as is the bulb of percussion and bulb scar. A Mesolithic flint side scraper on a blade. The blade has abrupt and semi-abrupt retouch down the right lateral edge (when held with the dorsal side facing). It also has abrupt retouch on the left edge near to the butt, probably to facilitate comfortable handling of the tool during use. Slight retouch at the distal end of the blade may suggest that this end was utilised as a tool also. The flint is of a pale grey to white colour. The blade measures 28.1 mm long, 13.7 mm wide, 5.8 mm thick and weighs 1.7 grams. It is lozenge shaped in section.

A flint flake, apparently retouched to form a scraper. Cortex remains on one face. There appears to be a small amount of pressure flaking at the distal end to form a scraping edge. The flint measures 46.23 mm long, 24.14 mm wide, 17.17 mm thick and weighs 13.9 grams. The flint is a cream to grey/brown colour with a small area of pink cortex remaining. Other Mesolithic material from the area suggests this flint may also of this date.

A flint scraper or knife, probably Mesolithic in date. Cortex has been left on part of the flake, probably to facilitate comfortable handling of the tool. The flint is 'boomerang' shaped, and there is some retouch along the inwardly curving edge. The tool was probably intended to be held with the thumb held over the concaved ventral face allowing the tool to be used comfortably as a scraper or knife. The flint is a pale cream in colour, with grey patches and some pink/grey cortex. It measures 38.48 mm long, 19.76 mm wide, 9.62 mm thick and weighs 3.8 grams.
