An incomplete copper alloy trumpet brooch dating to the Roman period (c. AD 75-175). The object has an oval head with integral lug on the reverse to hold the, now missing, pin. The bow tapers sharply downward form the head and tapers in a wron break just before the foot. Roughly half way down the bow are two rounded collars which would have formed a decorative motif but this is now too worn to make out. Note: this item was found on a known Medieval settlement, making the likelihood of this object being Medieval very high.  A copper-alloy Medieval strap end in very poor condition. The tip of the strap end is sadly bent over, possibly due to plough damage. The none damaged side shows two layers of metal, which the strap would have gone into, and three rivets, the tips of which are covered up on the opposite side.
