An incomplete copper alloy buckle of post-medieval date. The buckle is a sub-rectangular knee buckle with a drilled frame to house a separate spindle. The spindle no longer remains. The metal has a mid-grey/brown patina and is worn. The buckle is 17.3mm long, 16.7mm wide, 3.4mm thick and weighs 1.2g. A similar example is illustrated in Whitehead p.111, no.712 and is dated to circa AD 1720 - 1790.

An incomplete silver thimble, of Post Medieval dating (17th Century AD). The thimble is incomplete as it was constructed in two parts: sides and the domed top. Only the lower body / sides are present, as the domed top is lost, presumed lost in antiquity. The seam on the body has split open. The sides are decorated with two grids of square depressions (pits for the needle), each separated by a vertical column with several small diagonal grooves, orientated vertical. An incomplete copper alloy rowel spur, of Post Medieval dating (c. AD 1600 - c. AD 1700). The spur is incomplete, consisting of the rowel box, and two incomplete arms. The rowel is missing and arm terminals are missing. The neck of the spur is spherical, with a length of 13.3 mm and a maximum width of 12.3 mm. The rowel box is incomplete, with each arm terminating at the approximate halfway point. Each arm comprising the bow is sub rectangular in shape, with a D shaped cross section, and flat on the inner face. The arms are currently 21.8 mm long, 11.7 mm wide and 6.9 mm thick. T…

A complete copper alloy ring or loop which functioned as a curtain fitting, of Post Medieval dating (15th to 17th Centuries AD). It is sub-circular in shape with a rectangular cross section with bevelled edges. In profile the loop is flat. It measures 26.4 mm external diameter, 18.5 mm internal diameter and 3.4 mm thick. The ring is 3.8 mm wide. It weighs 4.6 grams. The curtain fitting is a dark green colour, with an even surface patina. Similar rings are illustrated in Margeson (1993, p. 82, Fig 47, #522-524).
