An incomplete and heavily corroded copper-alloy Roman coin, possibly a nummus of the House of Constantine dating to the period c.AD 320-323 (Reece Period 16). Copper alloy brooch of Colchester derivative, Polden Hill type. This has rearward facing lugs on either end of the wings that would have held the pin axis bar, the spring and pin are now missing. A truncated rearwards facing hook at the top of the head would have held the external cord of the spring. Double recessed angled lines decorate the front of the wings and a ridge runs from the top of the bow and down its front. The lower part of the bow is missing resulting in the loss of the catch plate.
