A near complete cast copper alloy brooch of Colchester derivative Polden Hill type of Roman date (80-120 AD). The wings are complete with flat and pierced end caps. The axis bar and spring are present; the axis bar is formed from a length of iron wire and holds the copper alloy spring and pin. An incomplete copper alloy thimble. The thimble is domed shape with hand punched dimples arranged in circumfrential rows. The thimble is abraded and corroded and its base rim is lost. The thimble has a dark green with extensive areas of lighter corrosion. Similar thimbles have been dated to the later part of the medieval period (1400-1550) by Edwin Holmes (Sewing Thimbles FRG Datasheet 9). The foot is broadly D shaped in cross section with a rounded back back and flat face. Ther eis a prominent central ridge running down the centre of the front face. The foot extends beyond the face as a thin rectangular pad. The leg is a dark green in colour with some sooty deposits. The width is 33mm, the truncated height is 32mm, it is 20mm thick, and weighs 83g.

A near complete, cast copper alloy buckle frame dating c1575-c1700. The frame is an asymetrical double loop, with a trapezoidal rear loop and a rounded front loop. The frame is decorated with prominent knops at either end of the strap bar. The frame has a flat rear, and a rounded face and sides that taper in slightly from the rear to the front. The crude weight has a flat base and a broadly round cross section which gradually tapers up to the narrow top where an iron loop suspension passed through its body. The stumps of the loop are present at either end. The weight is plain with an off white lead-oxide pationa. There are some rust stains at the top near the stumps of the iron loop. Height 36mm. A copper alloy Post Medieval circular bridle boss with punched or stamped line, ring and dot decoration. The object has a flat border also with stamped ring design. There is an integral suspension loop at the upper most point and directly beneath this on the border another perforation for suspension or attachment. Probably 17th century. Overall dimensions: 50.5mm in diameter, 14.3mm in thickness and 26.8g in weight.

A circular raised ring passes through the daisy wheel. The reverse is plain and undecorated. The token has a grey coloured surface patina. Diameter: 17.5mm, thickness: 2.0mm, weight: 2.50 grams
