A complete leaf-shaped arrowhead of probable Neolithic date (2900 - 2150 BC). The arrowhead is formed on a mid-grey coloured tertiary flint flake; both the dorsal and ventral faces are extensively retouched. The arrowhead is lentoid or pointed oval (an irregular pentagon) in plan and lentoid in cross section. The butt of the arrowhead has been trimmed and extensively reworked removing any trace of striking platform or bulb of percussion In profile the arrowhead is also lentoid. A thumbnail scraper of later Neolithic or Early Bronze Age date (2300 -1800BC). The scraper is formed on a fine, mid brown (toffee like) coloured good quality, tertiary oval shaped flake of flint. The ventral face shows the bulb and point of percussion as well as conchoidal ripples and bulbar scar; this shows that the flake was struck from a prepared striking platform. A fragment of a cast, copper alloy, binding strip from a Medieval casket or box, or possibly a leather object. The strip has a flattened D section. The fragment comes from one end of the strip, which tapers to a rounded terminal. A complete, cast, copper alloy, Medieval strap mount. The mount is a hollow backed dome with an off-centre peircing for a missing separate rivet. The mount is crudely decorated with six unevenly spaced linear groves that radiate from the apex of the dome to the perimeter. The mount has a green patina, with the underlying red-brown metal showing in areas of abrasion. Weight 0.75g, Diameter 16.1mm, Thickness 0.5mm.

Medieval coin: double patard of Charles The Bold, Duke of Burgundy AD 1467-1477. Mintmark is a lion rampant in the centre of obverse shield, and the coin may have been minted in Flanders. The legends are abbreviated and read as KAROLVS:DEI:GRA:DVX:BG:BRAB:ZLIN:FLA (translating as 'Charles, by the grace of God Duke of Burgundy, Limburg and Flanders'), while the reverse reads SIT:NOMEN:DOMINI:BENEDICTVM (translating as 'May the Name of the Lord be Blessed') (Taken from BERK-0D943E).

A complete, cast, copper alloy, Post Medieval coinweight. The weight is for an English gold coin called the Rose Noble, also known as a "ship" Ryal. The weight was made in Antwerp by Hans Foncq. The weight is flat and nearly square. It is red-brown in colour. On the front is a ship with a tudor rose imposed, to the left of the ships mast is a R, indictaing the weight is for a Rose Noble. On the back is the upright hand of Antwerp flanked by HF for Hans Foncq (1577-1603). The hand is also flanked by 8 and ? which probably indicates a date in the 1580s. An incomplete cast copper alloy pin from a buckle of late Medieval to Post Medieval date (1200 - 1500 AD). The pin is sub rectangular in plan, and rectangular in cross section. The shank of the pin tapers to a blunt end. The pin is slighlty wider and deeper at the head of the pin, where the loop that held the pin to the buckle bar has broken off, leaving two rough areas, one at the end of the pin and one underneath. The pin has a mid green patina A similar pin is HESH-170955. Surviving length 31mm. Width 4mm. Thickness 7mm. Weight 1.3g.

A complete, copper alloy, Post Medieval clasp toggle. The body of the toggle is a long, plain rectangular plate. At one end it has a narrow shank with a semi-circular (anchor shaped) toggle. At the opposite end it has a decorative terminal, consisting of an oval plate with two unequally sized piercings with a small knop on the outer edge. Immediately below the oval is a bar, which is attached to the central plate via a narrowed neck. There are the stumps of two pins in the plate, located centrally, one in the decorative terminal and the other in the central plate just before the shank.…
