Cast copper alloy strap fitting of probable post-medieval date (1500-1700). The strap fitting is circular in plan and domed in profile. The front face is convex whilst the reverse is concave. The edges of the fitting are bevelled. The front face has been decorated with three concentric cast circles which are evenly spaced around a central circular boss. Small traces of an applied tinned finish are present on the front face of the fitting. An incomplete copper-alloy hooked mount of post-medieval date (c. 16th century). The plate of the hook is flat backed and sub-rectangular. The attachment end is slightly rounded, and the plate then expands slightly along its length, until before the hook there is a cusped collar with a semicircular removal on each side, above which a smaller removal. An incomplete post-medieval cast copper-alloy strap-fitting. The artefact consists of a blunt hook, bent slightly to one side, which holds a separate pendent ring. Above the hook the mount is sub oval with two lugs above that bifurcate forming a V shape. Beyond this is mount is broken, so that it is now incomplete. The mount was attached by a single iron rivet in the centre of the oval element, just below the bifurcation, the corroded remains of which are still present in the fitting. Cast copper alloy strap fitting, belt slide, of probable very late Iron Age or more likely an early Roman date (50 - 200AD). The strap fitting is broadly sub-rectangular in both plan and profile. It is cast in one piece. The front plate is decorated with a series of cast designs; these consist of a central raised rib with a centrally positioned circumferential groove dividing the ridge into two parts. In plan the fitting is asymmetrical. The terminal is a sub-trefoil shape with a hole in the central leaf. The mount then expands with curvaeous edges. The edge opposite the trefoil shape in a broken edge, but not a recent break. The upper surface of the fitting has moulded Renaissance-type relief which has traces of a black deposit on the surface. The reverse is undecorated.
