A copper alloy, rolled sheet rivet of late medieval or post medieval date. Both ends have been flatened so the rivet has been fitted, probably in the construction or repair of a sheet metal vessel. The rivet has a brown colour with a developing deep green patina and areas of light green corrosion. The sheet was about 0.7mm thick. The larger flattened face is 14.9mm by 10.1mm. The rivet is 11.8mm long (ignoring the small outward fold of the larger face which has probably occured after use). At its narrowest the stem is approximately mm in diameter. It weighs 4.7g.

The larger flattened face is 13.0mm by 10.9mm. The rivet is 11.5mm long (ignoring the small outward fold of the larger face which has probably occured after use). At its narrowest the ste…

Cast copper alloy rivet of probable post medieval or early modern date (1550-1800). The rivet has been crushed and distorted, however originally it would have had a domed head (diameter 11.4mm) to which a oval cross sectioned shank (with a diameter of 5.2mm) attached. The rivet has a small hand cut washer (rove?) attached to its base and the end of the rivet has been struck and squashed. The rivet is a mid green colour with a good, slightly abraded, patina. It measures 13.1mm length, 13mm maximum diameter and weighs 3.91 grams
