A complete, worn, cast cooper alloy dress hook of early Post Medieval dating circa AD1550-1750. The plate is subcircular with moulded relief and openwork decoration consisting of an unequal armed cross with a central pellet, which is no longer visible due to wear of the object. Each quadrant has two circular perforations, with each of the lower quadrants having a pit which have joined with the circular perforation to form a larger hole. Silver gilt dress hook with a quatrefoil shaped plate decorated with filigree wire. The plate is divided into four roundels that are each defined by an applied twisted wire border. Post Medieval (1500-1600) copper-alloy dress hook: The body of the dress hook has a heart in the centre within a circular frame. The exterior of the frame has a series of openwork oval and pellets. Integral to one edge there is a rectangular loop. The opposite edge is broken, therefore the hook element of the dress hook is missing. The surface of the mount has a matte light green patina. An incomplete, early post medieval sharp hooked clasp. The one piece clasp is cast in copper alloy and has a dark green patina. This clasp would of had a rectangualr attachment-loop in the same plane as the plate, but only a fragment of one side remains of this loop. The hook is also missing, with just a stub at the collar where it joins the plate. The plate is sub circular and decorated with moulded relief and open work. A Post Medieval cast copper alloy dress hook, also known as a dress clasp or clothes fastener of lantern type (1500-1650 AD). The dress hook is made of a single piece of cast copper alloy. The reverse plate of dress hook is missing. The body of the dress hook is an elongated trapezoid in plan. In section the body is semi-circular with slide flanges. The outer face of the dress hook body has a moulded lattice / criss-cross design. There is no evidence of an applied surface / tinning, however much of the outer surface is lost through abrasion.
