An incomplete Roman copper alloy Colchester derivative, possible double pierced lug, Harlow type brooch dating to 43-100 AD. There is the remains of a pieced lug on the rear of the head which would have mounted the spring and external cord, both of which are missing. The wings have a convex face with a recessed triangular cell. vertical band at the tip. The bow is undecorated with a series of triangular cells all of which would have probably contained enamel.  The lower part of the bow is truncated resulting in the loss of the catchpate.

An incomplete copper alloy Roman decorated trumpet brooch, dating to circa AD 75 to 175. The brooch is missing the lower half of the bow, foot and catch plate, pin and spring mechanism. The brooch is an inverted 'L' shape in profile. The head of the brooch is bulbous and narrows before the remains of the bow expand. An incomplete Roman copper alloy Colchester derivative, double pierced lug, Harlow type brooch dating to 43-100 AD. This has a double pieced lug on the rear of the head for the spring and external cord, both of which are missing. The wings have a convex face with five recessed vertical band at the tip. The bow is undecorated and tapers to a point at the foot, the catch plate on the reverse is complete.

Copper alloy brooch of Colchester derivative, Polden Hill type. This has rearward facing lugs on either end of the wings that would have held the pin axis bar, the spring and pin are now missing. A rearwards facing hook at the top of the head would have held the external cord of the spring. Expanded shoulders flank the head, the top of the bow is decorated with a double moulded ridge that runs down the top third of the bow. At the base is a slightly expanded foot with the catchplate on the reverse. Traces of a white metal coating remains over much of the surface.

An iron pin from a Roman brooch. The pin is cylindrical in shape tapering from a wide pierced head too a tapering point. The head of the pin seems to have been deliberately flattened and pierced. It has broken across the pierced hole. The artefact is a mid grey brown colour with a corroded mid brown colour. A direct parallel has not been found and the pin was recovered from an area which has exclusively been of Roman date. The pin measures 53.6mm length, 2.7mm width and is 2.5mm thick; it weighs 1.43 grams.
