A cast copper alloy Roman brooch, which is possibly a T-shaped type. The brooch is incomplete. The wings are cylindircal, and has a central slot on the reverse to allow the pin to be hinged on the the axis bar within the wings. The pin is missing. The bow head is sub-rectangular in section. The bow does not have a smooth curve, instead it projects at a ninety degree angle. The bowhead continues to the bow and tapers to a broken edge below the appoximate midpoint. A Roman copper alloy trumpet brooch: The head has no wings and in plan is a horizontal oval; it is undecorated. The upper edge has a trace of a decorated integral perforated lug (headloop). The decoration is in the form of horizontal ridges. On the reverse of the bow head there are traces of two incomplete vertical integral lugs with a central perforation.
