An incomplete copper alloy Crotal bell of a single cast form of Post Medieval date (AD 1550 - 1750). The object comprises two hemispheres divided by a raised horizontal circumferential rib. It is incomplete, missing approximately one third of one side. There is one round sound hole remaining to the upper hemisphere. The second is almost completely missing. An incomplete cast copper alloy clapper bell dating to the later medieval period (c. AD 1300-1500). The bell is of typical form with flaring sides and a wide basal opening. At the apex of the bell is a large ovoid suspension loop with a flat cross section. The bell is undecorated and red brown in colour, Iron staining within the bell's casing indicates the presence of an iron clapper, now lost. There are file marks at the base of the loop and on the bottom rim. Height 33.0mm, Diameter 20.8mm, Wall Thickness 1.2mm, Loop Thickness 2.1mm. Weight 6.21g. A similar bell is BERK-6A7F77

A fragment from the rim of a cast copper alloy harness bell of Post Medieval or Modern date. This fragment extends outwards towards the rim in a typical bell shape. The fragment has a shallow band that runs along the outside of the rim, and is decorated with a single incised line. The fragment is grey in colour with a slightly rough finish to both sides.
