A complete cast lead pointed oval seal matrix of Medieval date (Likely 13th Century AD) The seal matrix is flat and pointed oval in form.
The reverse of the seal matrix has a 7.9mm long pierced lug projecting just below the top point. The lug is intact but flattened sideways. The remainder of the reverse is undecorated.
The central device, set within an incised pointed oval border, is a fleur-de-lis executed in line work apart from the central petal, which is executed in relief.

A complete cast lead circular seal matrix of Medieval date (likely 13th century AD). The matrix is of the flat circular type with a perforated lug and decorated reverse.
The reverse bears a perforated lug at 12 o’clock (measuring 11.4mm long by 4.3mm wide) and decoration high relief. This decoration runs to the edges of the matrix and is in the form of an inverted modified fleur de lis emerging from the bottom of the lug. An incomplete and badly damaged cast lead pointed oval (vesica) seal matrix of Medieval date (likely 13th century AD). The matrix is of the flat pointed oval (vesica) form, and is badly damaged- the matrix is distorted, cracked, and is missing the sections of the edge including the bottom point, rendering some of the inscription illegible.
The reverse of the matrix is undecorated, with no evidence of a lug or raised rib.

Medieval lead seal matrix of 13th or 14th century date
The seal matrix is of pointed oval form and is fragmentary, represented by approximately half of the original length (with a surviving length of 17.8mm and a weight of 4.8g). The seal matrix has broken or been cut along its central axis, just below its widest point (with a width of 26.0mm and with a thickness of 2.6mm). Lead flat pointed oval seal matrix. The face is very badly worn and corroded resulting in the loss of almost all of the detail except for a recessed pellet in the centre. Also, the entire inscription has also been lost except for the vague impression of a U or W to one side. The reverse has similarly suffered from ware and corrosion. Traces of a central spine are visible that are flanked by a semi-circular arch the has a pellet in the centre. there would have been a loop at one end of the spine but this is now completely truncated.

A Medieval (13th century) seal matrix: The lead seal matrix is circular and a flat-backed type which is decorated with a high-relief arrow, with a pellet wither side of the central stem. At the edge, where the legend starts, and where the arrow points, there is a perforated lug. The underside of the matrix has the legend and device which has been engraved.

The matrix is of pointed-oval form and is near-complete but is distorted (with a distorted length of 41.6mm, a width of 26.0mm, a thickness of 2.7mm - 3.7mm and a weight of 18.3g). The rear has a lug at its apex, (giving a maximum surviving depth of 8.6mm), which does not appear to be perforated and may have broken before the perforation. Complete but abraded cast lead or lead alloy 'vesica' shaped seal matrix of medieval date (1200-1400). The seal matrix is sub-oval (oval with pointed ends) in plan and sub-rectangular in cross section. On the reverse face of the matrix is a cast vertical rib, the upper part projects as an oval tab and would have acted as a handle. Unusually it is not pierced for suspension.
