The upper side of the spill is flat and smooth whilst the underside is formed of tiny rivelets conjoined together. In profile the artifact is slightly oval. Length 26.0mm, Width 12.8mm, Weight 13.4g Peter Reavill FLO: The top of this artefact is possibly an acorn knop and the scar at teh base is wide enough to match a stem of a post medieval lead alloy (pewter) spoon. The artefact is erroded and the surface patina unsound: this identification is very tentative.
