A large lead alloy spill of lead alloy of uncertain date or function - but most probably being of 17th century date and spill from casting - potentially lead alloy musket balls. The irregular splatter of lead measures 22cm length 18cm width and is 8cm high. It weighs approximately 6 kilograms. The upper side of the spill is flat and smooth whilst the underside is formed of tiny rivelets conjoined together. The area is well known for a 17th century / civil war seige - although the spill could be from building work / guttering water pipes of a similar or later period

An incomplete cast lead alloy zoomorphic mount or figurine in the form of a stylised fish or dolphin. The figure consists of the head facing right with a slightly rounded open mouth. The upper part of the jaw is thicker and more prominent than the lower half. The figure has a large eye consisting of an oval shaped pellet set in an oval shaped groove. Lead alloy terminal consisting of three rounded rings in a row, increasing in diameter from a rounded point. Between the first two rings is a flat band. On the base is the scar of a shaft. In profile the artifact is slightly oval. Length 26.0mm, Width 12.8mm, Weight 13.4g Peter Reavill FLO: The top of this artefact is possibly an acorn knop and the scar at teh base is wide enough to match a stem of a post medieval lead alloy (pewter) spoon. The artefact is erroded and the surface patina unsound: this identification is very tentative.

A cast lead alloy mount in the form of a stylished fish or dolphin. The dolphin has an arched back, with the slightly forked tail bending round to meet the back. This is very similar to Roman depictions of the dolphin. Under the head, it is flattened to form a basic base, it is possible that this area formed an attachment area to another object.
