Fragment of a mid-blue coloured glass of probable Roman date (50-200 AD). The fragment could be described as a globule and may be that shape s due to distortion and melting from being heated in a fire. If so originally it would have been a sub-oval shape in plan. It is possible that it was either a bead or gaming counter. The outer edge / exterior surface is smooth and a lighter milky blue colour; in places there is an abraded surface patina.
