An incomplete copper-alloy hooked mount of post-medieval date (c. 16th century). The plate of the hook is flat backed and sub-rectangular. The attachment end is slightly rounded, and the plate then expands slightly along its length, until before the hook there is a cusped collar with a semicircular removal on each side, above which a smaller removal. The hook has been truncated, and there may be further damage to the attachment end. There is a central groove running the full length of the plate's front, faeturing two piercings for rivets, one of which still contains a rusted remnant …
