An incomplete cast copper alloy strap distributor / link for a horse harness fitting of later Early Medieval date. The fitting has a flat back and rounded front, it had two loops for straps, connected via a rectangular bar to either side of a barrel shaped central boss. There is a thin groove either side of the boss. The object is missing most of both loops due to ancient breaks. The central boss has a hollowed rear, and the side bars a central groove. The fitting had a green patina over the brown metal. The remains are 44mm long, 12mm wide and 10mm deep, it weighs 14.4g

The ring has a dark green patina. Rings such as these are very common finds and may have had a variety of uses. They may have been part of horse-harness, or used for suspension of vessels, or as curtain-rings (Geake, Finds Recording Guide https://finds.org.uk/counties/findsrecordingguides/rings/). An incomplete copper alloy Colchester derivative, Polden Hill style brooch of Roman dating AD 75-175. The bow is angular and hump back, resembling a comma, with a moulded plate rising from the wings on each side, to mark the sides of the head and bow. The wings are heavily abraded and the pierced endcaps are lost the body of the bow remains, but the majority of the spring and pin, the catchplate and the lower bow / foot are missing, probably lost in antiquity. A relatively well-preserve copper alloy pocket (poke) sundial, probably dating from the seventeenth century. The artefact is a circular ring of brass with a small suspension loop or hoop on one edge. The loop is staple shaped and has been fixed through the ring through two drilled holes. A central recessed groove runs circumferentially around the exterior of the ring, this has been perforated in two places with a long slots. An incomplete, modern cast copper alloy furniture mount probably dating to the period AD1800-1900. The circular domed mount has a central dome shaped knop and the mount has a floral pattern outlined in gilt. It has been broken around the circumference from a larger setting. A green patina covers about half of the mount.The underside is undecorated. Diameter: 33.8mm, height including knop: 13.9mm, weight: 14.9g The knop measures 7.1mm in diameter and is 3mm deep.

A fragment of a cast copper alloy finger ring of probable later Iron Age or Roman date (50 BC - AD250). The ring is incomplete and partial being broken across the central bezel and also the rear hoop. The ring has also been flattened and is now heavily distorted. The break across the bezel is likely to be recent with the surface being heavily laminated and the external edge feathered. A cast copper alloy heraldic harness pendant of probable 14th-century date (c.AD 1250 - c.1450). The pendant is sub circular in plan and rectangular in cross section. At the top of the pendant there is an integrally cast suspension loop set at a right angle to the pendant. This is damaged and incomplete and has some corrosion around the circular perforation.
