An incomplete fragment of a clay tobacco pipe comprising the stem and foot dating to the late post medieval date (c.1660-1680). The fragment is broadly similar to David Atkinson's Broseley Type 2b (1660-1680) classification. The bowl is lost however it would originally have had a narrow elongated bowl. The foot is relatively small flat oval shaped which is marked with the intials W V within a heart shaped stamp or cartouche. An incomplete fragment from the handle of a Roman Severn Valley ware tankard. It is sub-rectangular in cross section, being 11.05 mm thick. The back is flat but the front has has a ribs running along its complete width. The handle curves outward along its length, it is also is slanted, being a rhombus in plan that measures 33.11mm high by 25.24mm wide. The fabric is a rich orange colour with frequent black stone / grit, sparse mid-brown coloured stone and sparse white quartz, the fabric is also mica rich and relatively soft. The sherd weighs 8.9 g.
