Probable Roman coin - Barbarous Radiate - of unknown emperor probably dating from the late 3rd century (250-300 AD). The edges of the coin have been clipped and it is now hexagonal in plan. Both faces of the coin have been badly corroded a slight bust can be seen on the obverse.

Base silver or copper alloy contemporary copy (Barbarous radiate) of a Radiate of either Victorinus (269-271 AD) or Tetricus (271-274 AD). The obverse depicts a head facing right with a radiate crown. The head is crudely depicted with low brow, pointed (globular) nose, and spiky beard. The obverse inscription is lost. The reverse depicts a figure (possibly Invictus) standing. This depiction is little more than a crude stick figure. The reverse inscription is also lost. Base silver radiate (or antoninianus) of Victorinus (269-271 AD). The obverse depicts a radiate crowned head facing right. The emperor depicted has beard and flowing hair. The legend reads:[VI]CTORINVS PP AV[]. The reverse depicts a figure - Providentia (Providence) advancing left with palm and cornacopiae. The legend reads: PRO[VIDENTIA A]VG. The coin has been chipped and broken in the plough-soil resulting in damage to the flan of the coin and resulting in the loss of some of the inscription.
