The object consists of two bars placed parallel with a central moulded collar which has been worn and thus less prominent. A fragment of a copper alloy terret ring dating from the late Iron age to early Roman periods, c. 50 BC -150 AD. The fragment consists of a projecting sub oval collar from which at one end protrudes part of the narrow rectangular strap-bar and at the other end a remnant of the main circular loop. Both of the broken ends are abraded and like the main body of the object have a mid green patina which would suggest the the break was made in antiquity. A complete cast lead or lead alloy weight of probable medieval date (1300 - 1550). The weight is broadly oval (sub-rectangular with tapering sides terminating in blunt points) in plan and cross section. On the upper point is an integral cast suspension loop which would have been circular in plan and oval in cross section but is distorted, probably from plough damage. The perforation / hole through the centre is also oval and again distorted. The body of the weight has a large central rib which extends from the upper edge to the base. A heavily clipper silver penny of either Edward IV from his second reign 1471-1483, or Richard III 1483-5 - struck at the mint in York. Type XXI 4. If this is the case then the coin would have been struck under the authority of Archbishop Thomas Rotherham (1480-1500). The inscription has been almost entirely removed and the identification is based solely on the marks by the breast and estimated size and style of the coin. Without an inscription it is hard to tell whether the coin was struck under Edward IV or Richard III reign. North: 1654 / 1686

A complete but heavily abraded and corroded cast lead or lead alloy spindle whorl of Medieval to Post Medieval date (1150 - 1650 AD), most probably Medieval (AD12300 -1600). The spindle whorl was originally broadly circular in plan and bi-convex in cross section. A central hole is present which has a diameter of approximately 11mm in diameter, Both faces of the whorl are decorated - although one face is poorly preserved.
