The obverse depicts a forward facing crowned bust with pellets either side of the crown, and a sceptre in hand. The legend reads HENRICVS REX III.
The reverse depicts a voided long cross with three pellets in each quarter. The legend reads NIC HOL EON RAN which refers to the moneyer Nicole.

Silver penny of Edward I class 10ab4. The obverse has crowned head faceing forward. Bifoliate crown with long narrow face. Drapery formed with sub-triangular wedges. The obverse inscription reads EDWAR R [AN]GL DNS HYB (W is struck into the field of the coin). The reverse depicts a long cross which divides the coin and the inscription into four evenly spaced quarters. Within each divided quarter are three pellets forming an irregular trefoil. The reverse inscription reads CIVITAS CANTOR (City of Cantebury mint). This coin is dated to the Medieval period 1301-1310.
