A complete Post-Medieval silver vervel (hawking ring) dating c. AD 1530-1560, of Lewis and Richardson's type C.i. The hoop of the vervel consists of a small band made from a strip of silver that is rectangular is shape and cross-section. Crudely soldered to the top of the band and aligned perpendicular is a flat shield shaped bezel. ~~A slightly squished copper alloy thimble. The outside of the thimble is decorated with irregularly hand drilled circular indentations that spiral up towards the top of the domed cap, A single linear band rounds around the base of the thimble. This artefact dates to 1350-1500. Similar examples are illustrated in E. F. Holmes' 'Sewing Thimbles', Finds Research Group 700-1700 Datasheet 9.

A complete although broken Late Bronze Age copper alloy sword of the Ewart Park Metalworking Industry (c. 950 - 750 BC). The hilt of the sword is formed from a straight bar (45mm long), the forward side of which tapers into the narrow grip. The grip is 75mm long and has slightly convex sides, bring at the thickest two thirds along its length. There is a line of three rivet holes in the centre of the grip. A cast copper alloy medieval sword pommel dating to c. AD 1250 – 1400.  The pommel falls into the Oakeshott's type I. The pommel is disc- shaped in form with flat circular faces on both sides that are surrounded by broad chamfered edges that narrow to the radius of the pommel. It is hollowed to take the sword tang with the lower aperture being 19mm x 1omm, and the upper at 12mm x 5.5mm. Lead flat pointed oval seal matrix. The face is very badly worn and corroded resulting in the loss of almost all of the detail except for a recessed pellet in the centre. Also, the entire inscription has also been lost except for the vague impression of a U or W to one side. The reverse has similarly suffered from ware and corrosion. Traces of a central spine are visible that are flanked by a semi-circular arch the has a pellet in the centre. there would have been a loop at one end of the spine but this is now completely truncated.

Copper alloy strap fitting/ possible harness mount in the form of a long vertical bar with bevelled sides. The top end is expanded to form a rounded terminal with an elongated knop at the tip. This is separated from the main shaft by a recessed collar. The main shaft is thick with bevelled sides and a truncated large hook at the base. There is a copper alloy rivet with globular head in the centre of the main shaft and a second similar rivet in the centre of the terminal.  Traces of gilding are visible on the surface.

There is no decoration of either of the shields faces although a central rivet hole indicates that the device was probably riveted into place. Only one side of the shield is gilded which would be the face that held the device.

Copper-alloy strap-mounted and skirted terret. The oval loop, through which the rein would have passed, is considerably worn at an angle from lower left to upper right on both sides. A copper alloy ring of probably Iron Age to Roman date (c. 300 BC - AD 100). The ring is circular in cross-section. It is decorated by a finely executed double wavy line within a recessed band that wind around the circumference of the ring. The inner surface of the ring is smooth and in places shows signs of wear which may indicate where is has rubbed on a strap. Rings of this type are generally believed to have been harness or strap fittings, however, they may have a variety of uses. Cast bronze (copper alloy) flat axe of Early Bronze Age date, the sub-type of axe is difficult to identify mostly due to the small size of this example. The axe is sub-triangular in plan with a narrow rounded butt that is 9mm wide, the sides expand in evenly to the cutting edge which is 49mm wide, the blade is slightly convex in shape with a prepared cutting edge which has been eroded / abraded in the soil. An incomplete medieval, gold gem-set finger ring. This has a large hollow rectangular bezel with an oval aperture (4.9mm by 2.2mm) and purple stone set within. Flanking the bezel are small flanges that are decorated with a ridged pattern of small parallel lines. The hoop has a D-shaped cross-section and is decorated at the shoulders with a series of engraved lines. In the centre of the shoulders is an oval mount for a stone, one is missing but the other still retains a hemispherical green stone. The remainder of the hoop is undecorated. A slightly distorted gold finger-ring with external black-letter inscription, of 15th-century date. The finger-ring is complete and comprises a flat broad band that is engraved on the exterior with highly accomplished floral forms.  The decoration consists of six alternating triangular panels. Each panel displays the flower of a lily.
