A heavily eroded copper alloy Roman coin from an unidentified Roman Emperor. The obverse depicts a laureate crowned head (possibly Vespasian) facing right - inscription lost. The reverse a seated deity facing left; From the size the coin is most likely to be a Dupondius.
Has a length of 29.75mm and is 30.12mm wide and is 2.68mm thick; it weighs 8.47 grams

Cpper alloy Dupondius of uncertain emperor, most probably dating to the 2nd century AD (100-200 AD), possibly Antoninus Pius. The edges of the coin have been heavily eroded and the inscription on both faces has been lost. Large areas of the coin have laminating fractures with areas of active copper alloy corrosion (bronze disease).
