A medieval silver short-cross cut half penny, probably of either possibly Richard I (1189-1199) or probably John (1199 to 1216) Class 2-4 ( 1189-1204)
The obverse depicts a forward facing, crowned bust with two curls of hair. The reverse depicts a voided short cross with a quatrefoil in each angle. The legend reads ...D.ON.C.. which refers to the moneyer Roberd of Canterbury. North vol 1 Page 220/221
