A prehistoric stone axe of probable early Neolithic date. The axe has been made from a fine grained igneous rock, dark grey in colour with fine white inclusions. The axe has been manufactured by chipping and grinding. The chipping is predominantly associated with the lateral edges and the butt of the axe. The blade has been formed through grinding of the body of the axe. The axe is fairly crude and not nearly so finely finished as some Neolithic axes. The flake measures 18.66mm long, 23.56mm wide, 6.25mm thick and weighs 2.33g. Retouched flakes are difficult to date as they are present throughout prehistory. Thus, a wide date range for this piece is suggested.

A broken pointed end of a finely worked bifacial tool of translucent brown flint with light and mid grey inclusions. It has been totally invasively worked. The plan is a pointed symmetrical leaf shape, very much like a leaf arrow head but for a somewhat thicker section. Close to the slightly oblique break the sharp margin has been slightly blunted which suggests that the tool was a kind of knife. A complete leaf shaped flint arrowhead of probable earlier Neolithic date (4000 - 2700 BC) formed on a tertiary flake. The arrowhead is ogival / lentoid (a diamond shaped lozenge) in plan and lentoid in cross section. The arrowhead has been knapped from a mottled light-grey to brown flint which is opaque in places. Both faces of the flint show invasive, scaled, low angled retouch, with one face showing a slight scar, probably caused by a plough or similar machinery. A scraper formed on a large and irregular waste flake / secondary debitage dating from the Neolithic Period (3500 -2100BC). The flake is large and irregular being formed from relatively good flint, in plan it is sub-triangular whilst in section it is rectangular. Along one edges is an area of coarse external cortex; this would suggest that the flake has been formed from secondary waste / debitage. Small blade like flake of tertiary debitage of probable earlier Neolithic date (3500 - 2500 BC). The flake is an irregular rectangular shape and is formed on a mottled grey coloured flint. The upper edge is snapped and a number of vertical flake scars are present on the dorsal face. The ventral face is unworked. The long edges are feathered with abrupt retouch - although this is most likely to be as a result of movement in the ploughsoil - ratherthann deliberate reworking. The flake measures 26.4mm long, 18.4mm wide, 4.1mm thick, and weighs 1.3 grams.

The flake has multiple removals in several differing directions suggesting a Neolithic or later date. The edges of the flake have not be reworked to form a scraper. The flint is a dary grey colour with slight mottled surface The waste flake measures 21.5mm long, 18.4mm wide, 6.6mm thick. It weighs 2.0 grams.

The flake is heavily plough damaged, but one small area of neat removals along one edge suggests that this waste flake was reworked to form a poor quality scraper. The flint is a mottled grey colour.
