Large irregular oval piece of flint / nodule. There seems to be very little evidence of flaking or retouch present on either of the faces. Any facets present seem to be as a result of plough roll or frost action. This flint is recorded due to the exceptional size of the piece and the presence of other worked flints in the area. It is possible that this piece within the assemblage represents a reserve of flint for tool making; this is especially interesting as flint of this size is rare in the Marches. Measures: 130.2mm length, 77.3mm width, is 57.5mm thick and weighs 740 grams.

Four pieces / flakes of tertiary debitage which have been deliberately burnt and used as 'pot boilers' dating from the later Mesolithic and Neolithic periods (4500-2100 BC). The flakes are not well preserved. All the flakes have irregular 'crazed' surfaces which are slightly translucent. The cause of this is most likely to be direct heat and rapid cooling. The most common evidence for this is flint waste and discarded tools being used as 'pot boilers'. As the term suggests this describes a technique common in prehistory for heating water. The flake is struck on poor quality flint which varies in coarseness and colour, being glacial or riverine derived. The dorsal face of the flake shows multiple removals of flakes in multiple directions. There is no retouch. The flake measures 20.3mm length, 16.7mm wide, 5.2mm thick and weighs 1.44 grams

A tranchet chisel struck on a tertiary flake of mid brownish grey coloured flint. The artefact is very regular and well made it is likely to be of prehistoric date: Neolithic - Bronze Age (3500-1800 BC). A direct parallel for such a specialist tool has not been found. The chisel is a triangular (wedge) shape in plan and rectangular in cross section. On the ventral face conchoidal ripples can be seen - from this the direction of the initial rough out blow can be identified; this is at right angles to the work on the dorsal face. A complete leaf shaped flint arrowhead of probable earlier Neolithic date (4000 - 2700 BC) formed on a tertiary flake. The arrowhead is ogival / lentoid (a diamond shaped lozenge) in plan and lentoid in cross section. The arrowhead has been knapped from a mottled light-grey to brown flint which is opaque in places. Both faces of the flint show invasive, scaled, low angled retouch, with one face showing a slight scar, probably caused by a plough or similar machinery. A large knapped and flaked flint scraper of later Neolithic date (3000-2000BC). The scraper is unusual as it is formed from a large piece / flake of primary debitage. It seems to have been formed crudely and possibly discarded relatively swiftly; this is unusual in an area which has very small natural reserves of flint. The scraper / knife is broadly oval in plan and irregular in cross section. The ventral face suggests that it was struck using an uncontrolled blow which shattered the rock.
