A fragment from the body of a wheel thrown, slipware dish, dating 1720-1780. The hard fabric is yellow buff with two types of inclusions: sparse mid grey black coloured grit and occassional fieldspar. The upper surface is glazed black with a yellow trailed slip applied in geometric swirls.The sherd is in good condition but abraded. The vessel body was 7mm thick. The sherd measures 52mm by 31mm and weighs 13.6g.
