Medieval copper alloy mount, probably originally square, but it is incomplete now. The mount is a flat plate with a central 6-petalled flower or sun in the centre within a square or rectangular frame, of which only half remains. There is openwork between the petals and frame. The frame has a low-relief groove forming a circle if it were complete. The central of the flower has a small conical pellet. Each of the remaining corners of the frame has a rivet hole. An incomplete copper alloy single-loop clasp fastener with an integral forked spacer dating to the Medieval period (c. AD 1350-1450). The forked spacer only has one arm remaining. The buckle plate not longer adheres. The frame of the buckle is sub-oval in plan with a recessed bar. The bar has the folding mechanism of the buckle still attached by a folded-over tag on the closure. The face of this closure is decorated with a quatrefoil motif which has been soldered on. See Whitehead (1996: 42) no. 241 for a similar example. YORYM-9377E5 recorded on the PAS database is also comparable. …

Lead pointed oval vessica shaped seal matrix. The face is very badly worn and corroded resulting in the loss of almost all of the detail except for a recessed pellet in the centre. Also, the entire inscription has also been lost except for the vague impression of a U or W to one side. The reverse has similarly suffered from ware and corrosion. Traces of a central spine are visible that are flanked by a semi-circular arch the has a pellet in the centre. there would have been a loop at one end of the spine but this is now completely truncated.

A complete but worn copper alloy medieval casket key (AD 1150 to AD 1400). The outside of the bow is sub circular, probably from wear, while the inside is circular. The shank is attached to the bow at the mid point of the right hand side by a tapered shoulder that still shows some signs of it's decoration in the form of a series of parallel inscised lines. Medieval (late 14th to early 16th century) annular buckle pin: In plan, the copper alloy pin is a long slender rectangle with a rounded blunt tip. The opposite terminal has a fragment of a rounded penannular loop or annular loop which would be fixed around the bar of the frame. On the upper surface the pin is decorated with a transverse ridge. The artefact consists of the outer loop of either a single loop, D shaped buckle or a double looped (spectacle) buckle. The frame has a triangular shaped, notched pin rest, with a decorative groove either side. The frame is oval in cross section, and is titled so that the outer face slopes outwards and downwards towards the rear. It has an even mid- green coloured well preserved surface patina. Weight 2.7g. Cast lead or lead alloy spindle whorl of Roman to Post Medieval date (1 - 1650 AD); most probably medieval date (AD 1300-1550). The spindle whorl is broadly circular in plan and a rounded rectangular shape in profile. The central hole is broadly circular and has been cast / set slightly off centre; it has an internal diameter of 9.6mm. The upper and lower faces are undecorated. The spindle whorl is a white colour with an even but eroded surface patina.
