Iron Age: A cast copper alloy bucket mount, in the shape of a bull's head. It is a heavily corroded triangular shaped bucket mount. It has a flat profile with recessed bosses at all three corners. A ridge is present along the back on the reverse of the item. The horns curve inwards.

Cast copper alloy mount, harness fitting, or escutcheon of probable late Iron Age or early Roman date (200 BC – 200 AD).The mount is irregular in both plan and profile. In plan it is broadly semi circular with two projecting flat knops, one located at the top of the artefact and on located at the base. The knop at the bottom is small than that at the top. The front face of the mount is domed (convex) and the rear face is dished (convex). Rising from the centre of the fitting is a tapering broken projection. A cast copper alloy enamelled Iron Age (100BC - AD 80) mount, stud, dangler or decorative fitting. The fitting is broadly circular in plan with a cast and inlaid upper surface, The reverse face is incomplete; projecting from the mid-point is a bifurcated stem which is broken and eroded - its inner surface is a rounded U shape possibly suggesting it fitted onto a small chord or rod. A cast copper alloy bovine (bulls head) vessel / bucket mount dated to the later Iron Age / Early Roman period 300 BC - 300 AD. The style of this example is more likely to be early Roman in date and be attributed to a long lived 'Celtic' or 'Native' Iron Age or Romano-British trend. The mount is an irregular triangular shape in plan and an irregular triangular wedge shape in cross section. The sides of the mount are faceted and the rear face is concave with an irregular cell shaped depression.
