An incomplete cast copper alloy button and loop fastener of Wild's Class I from the late Iron Age or early Roman date (100 BC - 150 AD). The head of the button and loop fastener and part of the integral cast shank survive. The fastening loop is lost. The head of the faster is broadly sub-triangular in plan being formed from three conjoined circular bosses. The edges of the button head are beveled. Silver toggle or fitting with globular knop on each side. Narrow body expanding at each end into a globule, creating an overall dumb-bell shape. Globules are of un-uniform size. Copper-alloy and bone examples of similar objects have been dated to the Iron Age, a similar shaped toggle can be found in Read (2005). An Iron Age object of this type is extremely rare. Cast copper alloy cosmetic mortar (also known as cosmetic or woad grinder) of late Iron Age to early Roman date circa 300 BC - 200 AD. The cosmetic mortar has a plain bowed profile with an incomplete fragmentary loop at one terminal and a plain tapered terminal at the other. The mortar is sub-triangular (U shaped) in cross section. It has an elliptical or sub-oval plan with both end terminals tapering to blunt points. On the upper edge of the mortar is the grinding area / surface.
