A silver denarius of Mark Anthony's 'Legionary coinage', struck at a Moving Mint, 32-31BC (Reece Period 1),
Obverse: ANT AVG III VIR R P C, Praetorian galley right. Reverse: Legionary eagle between two standards, LEG XI below. This coin has worn smooth in the top third on both sides, removing all detail (possibly from rubbing against a hard object or other coins)
These coins were struck by Mark Antony for the use of his fleet and legions when he was preparing for the struggle with Octavius, which culminated in the Battle of Actium on the 2nd of September, 31 BC
