Cast copper alloy button of probable Post Medieval date (1600-1700 AD). The button consists of a circular, probably hollow domed (D sectioned) head, with a separate cast back plate with integral shank set off centre at 90º to the angle of the head. The shank is formed from a length of copper alloy wire. The domed head of the button is undecorated (although heavily dented) as is the reverse face. Fired earthenware pottery gaming piece. The date is uncertain due to the unstratified nature of the piece but its date is likely to fall in either the medieval or post medieval periods (1200-1700). The gaming piece is sub-circular in plan and sub-rectangular in profile. It is undecorated but there is a distinct ridge / rim around the upper edge creating a circular recessed centre.
