A relatively small strap handle from a medieval green ‘splash’ glazed jug of probable later medieval (1200-1400) date. The handle is incomplete and there is no evidence of the body extant on the fragment. The fabric is a relatively hard fired earthenware with a number of small angular and sub-angular grit, white quartz and grog inclusions. The fabric is also mica rich. A relatively large sherd from the base of a glazed vessel of probable medieval (1150-1300) date. The base is most likely to be from the bottom of a large serving jug and has a ‘pie-crust’ styled decoration. The external face of the sherd is glazed with a relatively thick greenish brown coloured glaze which covers the whole of the surface and the external edge of the base. The sherd is most likely to be from a small jar or pot; it has not been sooted and so is unlike to have been used as a cooking vessel. The internal and external faces of the sherd are glazed, although the inner surface is much patchier than the outer. The glaze is a relatively thick yellowish brown-green colour. A very thin body sherd from the side wall of a vessel of probable medieval (1250-1350) date. The fineness of this sherd suggests a high status function. The external face of the sherd is glazed with a relatively thin patchy yellowish green coloured glaze which covers the whole of the surface.
