Leaf shaped flint arrowhead of probable Middle Neolithic to Early Bronze Age date (2900 - 2150 BC). The arrowhead has been knapped from a light-mid brown translucent flint and is 42.8mm long, 18.1mm wide, and is 3.5mm thick. It weighs 2.72 grams. Small fragment of debitage either a chunk or chip of flint probably dating from the Neolithic or Bronze Age (3500 - 1500 BC). The chip is sub-rectangular in plan and lentoid in cross section. It measures 12.8mm length, 13.5mm width and is 4.7mm thick. It weighs 0.91 grams. Approximately 40% of the chip is covered in cortex (the outer rind or skin of a nodule) suggesting that this flake was produced early in the tool making process, probably after the artefact was 'roughed out'. Small flint flake of probable Neolithic date (3500 - 2100 BC). The flake is irregular in plan and sub-triangular in cross section. The bulb of percussion on the reverse of the flake is complete and there is evidence of a number of hinge fractures on the opposite (front) surface. It is likely that this flake was a by-product (or waste flake / debitage) of tool making as there is a small amount of cortex (rough outer skin of the flint nodule) on the artefact. An almost complete unpolished flaked axe of Neolithic date and of Scandinavian type. The object has a convex cutting edge and straight parallel sides which taper to a squared off butt end. The cutting edge measures 64mm in width and is 3mm thick. A large oval flake has been removed from one face just above the cutting edge in recent times and is likely due to plough damage.
